This hand fabricated sterling silver ring features a stunning blue lapis lazuli cabochon bezel set vertically. The top of the setting is reminiscent of an arrow or silver feathered triangle. The setting sits on top of a single sterling silver ring band and turns into three bands on each side of the setting. This lapis lazuli ring is a gorgeous statement piece.
As early as the 7th millennium BC, Lapis Lazuli was mined in the Sar-i Sang mines, in Shortugai, and in other mines in Badakhshan province in modern northeast Afghanistan. This was the main source of lapis for the ancient Persian, Egyptian, and Mesopotamian civilizations, as well as the later Greek and Romans.
