This large oval Mexican matrix opal sat on my bench for over a year before I decided to make it into a ring. This beauty has tons of colors that range from greens, yellows, to reds that look like veins that form in the natural matrix when the light hits it. All set in sterling silver with a circular, textured backplate. This opal comes from the opal mines near Queretaro, Guanajuato Mexico.
