Blue Mountain Jasper is a highly coveted, premium variety of orbicular and picture jasper sourced exclusively from a remote region in southeastern Oregon.

It is famous for its intricate, overlapping orbicular "egg" patterns, parallel banding, and healed volcanic brecciation (shattered rock fragments naturally cemented together). Large nodules often cut open to reveal a scenic landscape look with distinct ground and sky elements.
